Do you want to take your Scouting to a new level? Then check out the High Adventure opportunities being organized through Seneca Waterways Council.
A high-adventure experience includes several days of trekking by foot or water craft in wilderness and other rugged, remote locations. High adventure opportunities for Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crew, and Sea Scout Ships abound in the BSA
Join us for a trip to one of the four National High Adventure Bases operated by the Boy Scouts of America or join our contingent heading to Iceland’s National Scout Jamboree.

Iceland National Jamboree – 2024
On July 11, 2024, join our contingent of Scouts and Scouters who will be traveling together to attend Iceland’s National Jamboree in the beautiful and lush wonderland of Iceland. The group will return about July 26, 2024 depending on flights..
Adventure Details
The Jamboree itself, is 8 days starting on July 12 and ending on July 19. Meet Scouts from Iceland and as well as from other countries. This years theme is ‘Different Worlds’

Events and activities will be focus on each of these areas
Touring after the Jamboree
After the Jamboree, the contingent will be touring a number of different wonders of Iceland for 5 additional days. Including:

SWC Iceland Contingent Costs
$2350.00 plus Airfare (estimated to be about $1000.00)

Philmont 2025
Seneca Waterways Council is sending 2 crews to the Philmont high adventure base. The adventure at Philmont will start on July 27, 2025 through August 3rd.
We’re currently in the process of defining the travel arrangements for our SWC Philmont trek. It will likely involve a couple days of travel and possibly some touring before or after the time at Philmont.
Each crew will have a maximum of 12 persons. 3 to 4 adults and 8 to 9 Scouts. 14 years of age and 1st Class required.
Register today with a down payment of $250 to hold your spot.
Sea Base 2025
Seneca Waterways Council has 4 crews attending the Sea Base high adventure base in 2025. Across these 4 crews, we have 3 slots that are open for BSA Male youths ages 12 to 18 and 1st Class Rank Or Adults.
We also have interest in forming a Female Crew. We need a 3 adults and up to 9 youth. Please reach out to dmadison@scoutshare.org
If there is enough interest in addition to these, other crew opportunities could be formed.

Costs
With air travel, this trip will likely cost between $2800 and $3000.

2026 will be when the next National Scout Jamboree will be held at the Summit Bechtel in West Virginia.
