December Roundtable (Reminder)
Roundtable will be at the Wayne Central Middle School Library Thursday December 2nd at 7:00pm. This Roundtable is a chance to turn in payments for your charters (if handing them in at Roundtable please pay with check not cash or card, if paying at the Council office you can pay with Check or Card), any youth or adult applications your unit hasn’t turned in yet, your units JTE Scorecards, FOS family presentation date, and a Camp promotions date. The FOS family date should be a unit event where the most families attend, and the camp promotions date is a chance for our volunteers in our camping department to talk to your units about the camping opportunities in our Council. If you have anything you’d like to share at Roundtable, please inform District Commissioner Valerie Bost (vabost@gmail.com) and myself. As usual please let me know if you need anything specific such as extra applications, recruitment supplies…etc. if you want to pick them up there. Please let me know ahead of time if possible.
Summer Camp Promotions Commitment
Camp Promotions Campaign: Our goal is to give every scout to have an opportunity to attend summer camp. Each unit should schedule a presentation between December 1, 2021, and April 30, 2022. A volunteer from the district will assist in facilitating the camp promotion through an engaging family presentation that lasts less than ten minutes. The ideal presentation is conducted at a function when most parents will be present (Courts of Honor, Blue & Gold banquets, unit picnics, etc.)
2022 FOS Presentations
If you already have dates for your units 2022 FOS Presentation, please contact District Executive Will Gales! This event should be where the most families attend in between now and March. I will have a form at Roundtable available as well. Thank you!
We currently have 47 units that have logged in to the Internet Re-charter System, 8 more to go that are renewable. If you are having issues please contact your Unit commissioner, District Commissioner Valerie Bost, or District Executive Will Gales, and we will work with you. Also, please when choosing payment method please click the “Pay at Council” option. Please log in now! You can pay at Roundtable on 12/02/21 at the Wayne Central Middle School at 7:00pm by check, or you can pay at the Council office. We ask that payments are all turned in by December 15th. Thank you!

Here are the highlights you need to know before processing.

  • Key 3 Leaders are the default processors of the Renewal.  Units may designate a Key 3 Delegate in My.Scouting.org to complete the renewal as well.

  • After completing your renewal, you will be asked for a payment type.   Choose the “Pay at Council” option.  By paying direct to council will allow you to avoid additional processing fees and it will allow our council registrar the opportunity to ensure you don’t overpay.  This also gives you time to process your payment following your unit’s Fall Product Sale.

  • Payments are due December 15th, preferably via check or credit card. If paying at Roundtable, please bring a check and any outstanding paperwork such as applications with it. If you are still not finished with your charter do not pay online, click the “Pay at Council” option. Thank you!

Remember, your 2021 Unit Charter expires on December 31st, 2021.  Liability Insurance Coverage will not extend to your unit and charter organization if your 2022 renewal is not completed online prior to the expiration of the current charter.
