SILVER BEAVER NOMINATIONS – Due February 14th
The Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award is a Council-level distinguished service award. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the Council.
This distinguished award recognizes volunteers who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. It is the highest recognition the Council can bestow upon an Adult leader.
North Star Award Nominations – Due February 14th
The North Star Award is a high-level award presented by councils on behalf of the National Court of Honor to nonregistered volunteers who have made a significant contribution to Scouting. It is on same level as the Silver Beaver Award, which is for registered volunteers.
The Council then submits the nomination to the National BSA for consideration. The North Star Award will be presented at the Council’s Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner and Annual Meeting on May 4th, 2020.
Presentation of the awards will be made at the Council Volunteer Recognition Dinner and Annual Meeting on Monday, May 4th, 2020.
For the Seneca Waterways Council to consider a volunteer for the Silver Beaver or North Star Awards, the volunteer must first be duly nominated. If you would like to nominate a candidate for the Silver Beaver or North Star Award please complete the appropriate nomination form.
