Congratulations to our 2019 North Star & Silver Beaver Honorees
Eight individuals were honored at the Seneca Waterways Council’s Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner on May 6th.
North Star Award – Honoree: Mark Crane, founder and president of Mark’s Pizzeria. This is the second year a North Star Award is being presented by the council to non-registered volunteers who have made a significant contribution to Scouting. Crane has been a longtime supporter of Scouting. He was instrumental in improving the mile-long gravel access road to Camp Babcock-Hovey. He not only funded the project, but he was also at the controls of the bulldozer doing much of the work himself.
The Silver Beaver Award honorees include: David Aman, Annemarie Cook, Kathy Elliott, Mark Pedersen, Teresa Rudd, Tim Rombaut, and Doug Strong. The award recognizes Scouting volunteers who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. It is the highest honor given to a volunteer at the council level.
