Cubmobile Race – The second annual Cubmobile Race will take place at Indian Landing School on Saturday May 12th. This event gives packs and youth the opportunity to design and construct a Cubmobile and race it! Registration for the event is open and the cost to register is only $8.00. The cost goes to offset cost of the materials and use of the facility. I have attached the registration flyer for your viewing. This is an event that the entire pack can take part in, entire den, or if you have a select group of interested Scouts they can participate on their own. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Bay Waters Spring Camporee – The Bay Waters Spring Camporee will take place on May 18th – 20th. This year, the Spring Camporee will take place at Camp Cutler and will feature roughly 10 activities that youth can take part in to test various Scouting skills. This event is open to all Boy Scout Troops and current registered Webelos and Arrow of Light youth. This is a great way to help build a bond between a local troop and a group of perspective Webelos and Arrow of Light youth. Registration for the event is now open!
Twilight Camp – Twilight Camp registration is now open and is going strong! Twilight Camp 2018 is being held at Camp Eastman on June 18th – 21st. The cost for all four days is only $70 (early bird rate) and will cover meals, tshirt, program materials, and facility fees. This year’s theme is “Passport to Adventure”! This event is open to the first 125 participants, so space is limited.
Bay Waters District Dinner and Recognition Event – The Bay Waters District Recognition event will take place June 7th at 7PM at the Webster Fireman’s Field Pavilion. This is a great opportunity to recognize unit level Scouters who have gone above and beyond to instill the values of the Scout Law and Scout Oath in all of our youth! At this event, we will be recognizing all of our Unit Level Award of Merit recipients, Journey to Excellence Award Units, and many others. Please make it a point to spread the word far and wide about this great event!
Camp Card Sale – The Camp Card sale is in full swing! If you would like to sign your unit up to sell Camp Cards there is still time to earn up to 55% commission with virtually no risk to your unit. This is a great fundraiser that puts money in the hands of the unit prior to the Camping season! Also, the commission can be broken down to help youth “pay his or her own way” to camp. This fundraiser can be done by the entire pack, or by specific youth within a pack that need to help offset the programmatic costs of Scouting.
